IMM COLOGNE

We are happy to announce that a number of exciting new design products for 2018 has just been released: lounge chairs, a modular sofa, poufs and tables. To inspire you, the new collection is presented in an interesting colour palette of balanced tones inspired by the Pacific Ocean in line with the current trends, creating an airy, honest and harmonic setting for living. At Softline we are constantly developing and editing our product portfolio, and we work to create the perfect furniture to match the time we are living in. Furniture that speaks the unifying language of design across the world and fits in all kinds of homes and public spaces. We hope that you will be inspired by the 2018 releases of innovative design furniture in new and eco-friendly fabrics, materials and interesting colours.

The SOFTLINE stand at IMM Cologne 2019 will be an inspiring study of colours, shapes and sense of space. Architecturally speaking the stand this year is open from three sides, but it will be perceived as open from all four sides because of mirrors in the cut-outs of the back wall. The background in a deep blue colour will create an intimate and elegant setting for the colour palette this year of douche green, reddish colours and shades inspired by nature. The attention of the visitor will naturally be drawn to the enticing asymmetrical display areas – each one presenting a number of different furniture in the same colour tones, but in different materials and textures. This creates a strong link between the different areas of the exhibition, while the design details of each individual piece of furniture come into their own.

This year the SOFTLINE showcase installation for IMM Cologne and Maison & Objet Paris has been designed by Bambú Studio in Spain, who has created a minimalistic and open booth that allows the furniture to breathe and the beautiful design to be enjoyed fully. In the booth you will experience how you are able to move around in the different areas freely, with the colour, shape and fabric of the furniture changing and creating new atmospheres – without any specific environment being dictated. In this way we allow the creativity of the visitors to enter and help them imagine the furniture in new ways relevant to them. In essence, we are allowing the furniture to tell its own story and start a dialogue with the visitors. The new launches and the existing SOFTLINE classics will be showcased in colours full of energy, like fluorescent yellow and bright read, as well as in neutral colours with warm and calm undertones. The colour palette and the new fabrics has been chosen to showcase the many, many finishing options in our collection that makes it possible to have the furniture express one’s very own personal design vision.

This year it’s not only the new furniture design that will be inspiring and surprising. The stand itself will also be an inspiring architectural setting where two different floor levels are united by stairs and ramps, while freestanding dividers in various heights create individual environments that’s still a part of the whole. Each of these exhibition areas are characterized by one of the three new main colours ”Straw”, “Cactus” and “Hibiscus”, which are also the foundation for the furniture, where the colours are used in various nuances and textures. Complete, elegant and visionary.

ORGATEC

The SOFTLINE stand at ORGATEC 2018 will be an inspiring study of colours, shapes and sense of space. Architecturally speaking the stand this year is open from three sides, but it will be perceived as open from all four sides because of mirrors in the cut-outs of the back wall. Freestanding walls will be placed asymmetrically to create display areas that naturally catch the eye. The background in a deep blue colour, combined with a dark grey colour of the wedge-shaped bar area, will create an intimate and elegant setting for the current colour palette of powder, natural hues and reed green colours from the world's leading fabric suppliers. This year, pay close attention to the interesting textures of the fabrics that gives the furniture an extra tactile dimension. And discover how a correlation in choice of material and colours can work as a link between entirely different styles of furniture that creates an eye-catching and interesting effect next to each other, when they are within the same colour range.
